Biography

Joanna Wan graduated from the Department of Music at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she majored in piano under Miss Meiling Wong and studied harpsichord with Dr. David Chung. Awarded the Au Yeung Lun Scholarship and the RNCM Entrance Award, Joanna later moved to the United Kingdom for advanced studies at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), where she earned a Master of Music and a Postgraduate Diploma in piano performance under the guidance of Paul Roberts.

With twenty years of experience in piano pedagogy, Joanna is currently based in Hong Kong as a piano educator. Throughout years of teaching practice, her students have consistently achieved outstanding results in various piano competitions and examinations, with some successfully gaining admission to music departments in local and overseas universities and conservatories to pursue professional music studies. In addition to teaching, Joanna has studied with Miss Hui Ling and remains active on stage, performing primarily as a collaborative pianist.
